The NPPR Charge

The Local Government (Charges) Act 2009, as amended by the Local Government (Household Charge) Act 2011, introduced a €200 annual charge on non principal private residences, payable by the owners to the local authority in whose area the property concerned is located.

COVID-19 Update

Please note that as a result of the impact of Covid-19, there is a limited service available in relation to the processing of payments and dealing with queries on NPPR. Registrations and Payments by credit card can be made online and this is the most efficient method of paying any liabilities due in respect of NPPR.

Payments by EFT will be processed as soon as possible. It is very important that all such payments clearly and fully identify the Account/Property being paid for.

There will be delays in the processing of payments made by cheque and in dealing with payment or registration queries sent by post. All queries should be sent by email to SUPPORT@NPPR.IE  You must include the EIRCODE of each property and the PSN of the Owner of the property to avoid delays

Certificates of Discharge must be sought from the relevant local authority. This office does not issue these Certificates

Cheques

All Cheques/Drafts must be made payable to NPPR.
Our address is NPPR Bureau, PO Box 11654, Dublin 8
